Description
Newspaper advertisements referred to the estate as the “Central Northcote Railway Station Estate” but did add “(Late Oliver’s Paddock)”. In August 1888 lots were being offered at £3 per frontage foot. The subdivision starts on Hawthorne, now Hawthorn Road, between Railway Parade, now Herbert Street, and Helen Street and runs north picking up both sides of Station Avenue, now Claude Street, and Station Grove, now Turnbull Grove.
