The New Oakleigh Estate Southern Extension 19th February 1887 – Hughesdale

Description

The first sale was on the 13th of November 1886 and offered 241 allotments and now, three months later, they are offering another 266 allotments. I could find no newspaper reports on the success of either sale. This subdivision picks up both sides of Carlisle Crescent in the north, Warrigal in the east and Kangaroo Road in the south. The poster is similar to the earlier one and the auctioneer has used the same blue crayon to colour the allotments.
