Description
Reports of the auction in the “Herald” of the 2nd of February 1910 said that 46 allotments were offered and “all disposed of”, “a good deal more land could have been sold if available”. Prices varied a great deal with “keen competition for the favoured blocks” – £113 for the most favoured and just £10-10-0 for those less favoured. The subdivision is at the juction of Burwood Highway, Mount Dandenong Tourist Road and Janiesleigh Road and extends maybe 200 metres south east. Roads included are Ferny Creek Avenue, Burwood Road, Janiesleigh Road , Salisbury Street and Dawn Street.
